4:17-32
Join us this morning as we dive into Ephesians 4 and explore how we can walk in our new identity as Christians. Using three key infinitives—put off, to be renewed, and to put on—we’ll discover the transformative power of Christ in our lives.
Big Idea:
As Christians, we are called to walk in our new identity by shedding the old ways of this world and embracing the characteristics of Jesus.

Futility of the Mind (v. 17): Without Christ, our minds lead us astray.
Hardened Hearts (v. 18): A heart not redeemed by God lacks the desire to obey Him.
Sensuality and Greed (v. 19): Life is driven by physical desires and selfishness.
2️⃣ The Transformation in Christ (v. 20-24)
Paul reminds Christians that they have learned a new way of life.
You can be renewed in your mind and put on Christ today!
3️⃣ Walking in Christ (The Life of Jesus’ Transforming Power) (v. 25-32)
Speak Truth (v. 25): Truth becomes your motivation.
Put Away Anger (v. 26): Redirect anger towards righteous causes.
Prevent Thievery (v. 28): Choose spiritual fruit over destruction.
Avoid Corrupt Talk (v. 29): Speak words that build up.
Don’t Grieve the Holy Spirit (v. 30): Stay faithful to God’s leading.
Reject Bitterness (v. 31): There’s no room for malice in our hearts.
Put On Forgiveness (v. 32): Forgiveness should overflow from a heart transformed by God’s grace.
Conclusion:
As God forgave you in Christ, you are empowered to forgive others. Let's commit to walking in our new identity and reflecting the love and grace of Jesus in all we do.
